Join us for a practical workshop focusing on how managing soils and nutrients, as well as reviewing grass performance, can help increase the efficiency of meat and milk production.
There will be a focus on interpreting and acting on your soil, manure, silage or hay analyses. Methods to assess grass and forage yields will be discussed, alongside examples of grass yields from real farms. The new grass recommendation from the Nutrient Management Guide (RB209) will be available. By the end of the day, an action plan will be established for your fields.
Dr Liz Genever from AHDB Beef & Lamb and Siwan Howatson from AHDB Dairy will be delivering this workshop.
Anyone attending the workshop should bring along any soil, manure, silage or hay analyses, plus any records of grass or conserved forage yields linked to fields and previous nutrient management plans.
