What do I need to know?

The competition opened on the 5th December 2016 (World Soils Day) and closes on the 5th March 2017.

The application form is online and has been produced using Survey Monkey. Work your way through the questions and then click submit, you can save and return to it later. The form can be accessed through this link or by clicking on the button on the right.

If you would like any inspiration from last year's competition, click here to see the reports of the farm walks.

How do I get involved?

To enter, you need to be a farmer, be doing something to improve the management of your farm soils and be willing to share your management ideas with other farmers. If this means you, then click on the enter now button to fill in the application form. It's fairly short and shouldn't take too long.

What do I win?

If you are doing fantastic stuff and end up in the top three at the end of the competition, our lovely sponsors at Cotswold Seeds are providing some amazing prizes! The top farmer will be awarded £250 worth of fertility building or green manure seed (of your choice), the second prize farmer £150 worth, and the third prize £100 worth.

Thank you to Cotswold Seeds for their generosity!
