This is a conference for anyone whose objectives include making their wood financially sustainable.
The key note speaker is Sir Harry Studholme, Chairman, Forestry Commission, and Chair, Phaunos Timber Fund.
Oliver Combe, Timbe Auctions and Justin Mumford, Lockhart Garratt, will be discussing timber markets and the economics of woodland management respectively; Jason Sinden, Tilhill, and Dr Steve Lee, Forest Research will consider what materials owners should be growing now and in the future and Dr Gary Kerr, Forest Research, will examine the economics of different silviculture systems.
Three case studies will be presented and there will be plenty of time for Q and A panel discussions.
