About Farm Carbon Toolkit

20th Jan 2020

2020 marks a full 10 years since we started giving free, impartial advice to farmers and growers. We started because we wanted to encourage, inform and enable all farmers and growers to cut their carbon footprint. Our mission remains the same and we do not have any vested interests. Today, as always, we are run by farmers for farmers.

Farm Carbon Cutting Toolkit is a Community Interest Company, meaning it is essentially a company that has charitable aims and does not make profits for shareholders. However we've now changed our branding and offer to reflect three distinct areas of our work:

Farm Carbon Toolkit - offering the Toolkit itself to provide advice and information to farmers and growers, as well as a whole range of resources such as case studies, presentations and blogs; events, news and lots on soil carbon.

Farm Carbon Calculator - the Calculator and supporting material

Farm Carbon Consultancy - provision of services such as training, consultancy and paid-for advice. This is provided by our sister company Farm Carbon Consultancy Ltd, which is intrinsically linked to Farm Carbon Cutting Toolkit CIC.

There are six directors who collectively have a great depth of knowledge in various aspects of farming and growing. They oversee the startegy and direction of the organisation, as well as getting involved in supporting the delivery of services. Becky Willson, project manager does the day to day running and does a hugely diverse range of jobs from soil sampling and lab work through to delivering presentations at conferences and providing training events to farmers. She is hugely knowledgeable about her subject and has completed a Nuffield Scholarship on communicating carbon to farmers.

We always welcome feedback from farmers and growers and are on hand to offer information and advice. Have a look through the range of resources available, read blogs, join us on Twitter and sign up for our Newsletters. We hope to help you on your journey towards a low carbon farming future.
