Two events were held that followed the same format, one in Cornwall on the 13th February, and the second in Stoneleigh on the 14th. Both were an opportunity for farmers invovled in the project to come along and discuss the progress and results from year 1 and to feed into the discussons for year 2.
Introduction to the project - Becky Willson
Cashing in on carbon - Jenni Dungait, Soil Health Expert
Year 1 results so far - Becky Willson
In-field variation of soil carbon - Will Razey, Rothamsted Research
Follow up actions
- project farmers who are interested to take part in the upcoming Worm Week to allow for earthworm sampling to take place across all project farms during the same time period
- project team to complete Carbon footprint analysis on farms that don't have them in place
- a further meeting was suggested for when the complete set of year 1 results are available
Thank you to all the farmers who attended and participated so fully!
